Martin Stephan: Patriarchal History of Descendants 1810-1945

In a nutshell the period from 1810 - 1945 was characterized by higher education for the male descendants of Martin Stephan, grade school education (if at all) for their wives. The men engaged in church and/or college employment, writing while their wives and female children were expected to handle all the family duties.
